Safety Info
When installing a gas appliance in or around your home, it is always most important that the proper precautions are taken.
1. Be sure that you have properly vented your tankless water heater. There are different methods to installing each type of exhaust system.
A. Natural Draft System - Our EZ 101 and EZ 202 are both natural draft type exhaust systems. This type of exhaust should be run to the furnace chimney and the heater should be installed in a well ventilated room. If not installed properly there is risk of Carbon Monoxide leaks or possible freezing of the heat exchanger.
B. Direct Vent System - Our Direct Vent style heaters use a concentric pipe system. This pipe uses dual chambers, the outer chamber used for intake air, the inner chamber used for exhaust air. There is a pipe included with our Direct Vent style heaters, this pipe is made for venting through the wall the heater is mounted on.
2. Always be certain to "bubble" check all gas connections.
